LPC Supervision

Congratulations on reaching your final step in becoming a licensed professional counselor! I know that it can be challenging to find the right supervisor to help you in becoming a successful and confident therapist. I am a board-approved LPC Supervisor for the state of Texas with many years of experience working with a wide range of disorders and in different clinical settings such as  adult inpatient and partial hospitalization settings, child and adolescent outpatient settings, community health centers and private practice.

Supervision will focus on developing your clinical techniques, reviewing ethical guidelines, learning about yourself as a therapist and gaining insight into the business of being a counselor.

Supervision will consist of the following:

  • case conceptualization
  • role-playing
  • article/therapy model review of interest to intern
  • ethical dilemma scenarios
  • documentation review

Along with being trained in various theoretical approaches such as cognitive behavioral therapy, motivational interviewing, behavioral modification, my main therapeutic approach is Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT). I am  open to teaching ACT to interns that are interested in learning this theoretical approach to therapy!

Contact me to schedule an in-person meeting to assess whether I can help you meet your goals.
